For clients working with a lactation professional who would benefit from prenatal lactation labs to identify underlying health concerns that may impact initiation and maintenance of lactation. Lab order is individualized based on your unique history but generally includes evaluation for insulin resistance, evaluation of thyroid function, anemia status, prolactin level and vitamin/micronutrient status. How it works: ✔ VIRTUAL VISIT: Telehealth visit to review your history, symptoms and risk factors to determine beneficial labs to screen for potential health conditions that may impact lactation. ✔ LAB ORDER (CO, FL, IA, ID, NE, NM, VT & WV): Individualized lab order for the center of choice (cost is client responsibility or you can use insurance). Self-pay option available. OR ✔ LAB SUGGESTIONS with MD SIGN OFF (SC & TX): Labs will be ordered through a RUPA physician and you can draw at LabCorp or Access Medical Labs. Pricing is 100% transparent and accepted payment includes credit/debit and FSA/HSA. Alternatively, if you have a provider that is willing to order your labs, a recommended list will be sent. ✔ LAB RESULTS: You'll receive a detailed lab report with personalized recommendations.
